Today I’m going to teach you 7 ways you can earn money as a Notion creator.

Recently I’ve seen an outburst of upcoming creators in the ecosystem. All want to make a profitable side hustle or even business out of Notion.

Unfortunately, most creators don’t even know how to monetize their work.

The primary reason why most Notion creators are making less than $1K a month is that they lack the knowledge on how to monetize their efforts.

I figured out that’s a real pain for many people, and I plan to help as someone who made $2.5K+ on the side last month from 5 different revenue sources as a student from LATAM,

I made my research. That’s why I’ll deep dive into 7 ways you can make money online as a Notion creator and start living from your passion. Here’s the list:

1. Sell Notion Templates

The first way you can make money as a Notion creator is by selling your templates.

This was my main strategy during the first months and there are a few ways you can do this.

The first is by selling your templates on marketplaces like Gumroad or Etsy.

You can also set up a simple website where you can showcase your templates and allow people to purchase them.

Another option is to create a membership site where people can pay a monthly fee to access your template library.

2. Notion Consultancy and Creation

Another way to make money as a Notion creator is by offering consultancy and creation services.

This could involve helping people to set up their Notion workspace, create custom templates, or even just giving advice on how to use the tool more effectively.

You can start as a freelance by simply posting your services to platforms like Fiverr or Upwork. Creating an agency is also an option, many companies are using Notion nowadays.

If you like the idea of building in public and growing an audience you may attract people looking to work with you. This was the route I chose.

3. Sell Notion Courses

If you’re an expert in using Notion, another way to make money is by selling courses teaching others how to use the tool.

You can go the independent route and produce your course yourself and upload it to learning platforms like Teachable, Kajabi or Udemy.

Or you can leverage your audience and get a partnership with platforms like Platzi or Maven.

This could involve creating video courses, bootcamps, writing eBooks, or even just offering one-to-one coaching.

There are people making courses for becoming a certified consultant, Notion formulas, equations, and more. Get creative!

4. Create Notion Products

Another way to make money as a Notion creator is by creating products that complement the tool.

This could involve creating complementary software, extensions, plugins, or even just physical products like stickers and notebooks.

If you are a software developer, just know the Notion niche is hot and there are many opportunities.

Just look at projects like Notionforms, Notion2sheets, Queue, Divvy, and more!

5. Sell Notion Templates in a 2nd Language

If you’re bilingual or multilingual, another way to make money as a Notion creator is by selling your templates in a second language.

This could involve translating your existing templates into another language, or even creating new templates specifically for a different language market.

This worked marvelous for me and I was able to build a 2nd audience. If you like the idea, keep an eye on TransNotion, they are making it easy to translate your Notion templates.

6. Affiliate Marketing

If you have an audience or you’re not ready to sell your own products or services just yet, another way to make money as a Notion creator is by promoting other people’s products as an affiliate.

Notion has an official affiliate program that you can sign up for, you can also become a Gumroad affiliate, or an Amazon affiliate and even promote the tools you use or other people’s courses.

7. Donations

Finally, another way to make money as a Notion creator is by asking for donations.

If you’ve created templates, plugins, or other products that people have found helpful, you can add a “Donate” button to your website or marketplace listing.

This allows people to support your work if they want to, without having to pay anything.

Add a suggested amount to your Gumroad products, and set up a Patreon, Buymeacoffee, or Paypal.
